The traffic study was conducted due to the needs of Cameron Highlands which require proposal of alternative routes to serve the traffic demand. Being the only main access road connecting Blue Valley to Ringlet, the traffic condition at FT59 is getting worse as there are many tourist attraction spots. The local people suffered severe traffic congestion. Therefore, due to this matter, the study will assist in finding the best solution to disperse heavy traffic by taking technical economic, social and environmental consideration.

ZR Traffic and Planner was commissioned to conduct a comprehensive Traffic Impact Assessment to determine the impact of demolishing, developing and upgrading the existing passenger terminal, cargo and RORO of Kuala Kedah which is located 12km from Alor Setar onto the proposed road network. From the findings, corrective measures to mitigate any adverse traffic impact will also be recommended.
